Louise Carver (June 9, 1869 - June 18, 1956) was an American actress who performed in grand opera, stage, nickelodeon, and motion pictures. ==Biography== Born in Davenport, Iowa, Carver made her first appearance on stage as a teenager, in grand opera, at the Auditorium Theater in Chicago, Illinois in 1892. In 1908 she made her screen debut in ''Macbeth''. She came to national prominence as a comedian in Mack Sennett silent films such as ''The Hollywood Kid'' (1924). One of her biggest roles on stage was as the leading lady of Lew Fields in ''Mrs. Henpecks'', which played on Broadway (Manhattan) for months in 1912-1913. Her final screen credits are from 1941. That year she made ''Love At First Fright'' and had uncredited roles in ''Tight Shoes'' and ''Some More of Samoa''. Carver's nonprofessional name was Mrs. Louise Spigler Murray. She died at her home in Los Angeles, California in 1956. Her funeral was conducted at Hollywood Chapel and was buried in Chapel of the Pines Crematory.
